The Pune region recorded 140 new registrations, the highest among the individual regions in MahaRERA’s data, according to figures reported by Punekar News. Within that, 13 were in Satara, eight in Kolhapur and three each in Sangli and Solapur.
Region-wise registrations on Dussehra
| Region | New projects |
|---|---|
| Mumbai Metropolitan Region (all areas) | 201 |
| Pune region | 140 |
| Vidarbha | 32 |
| Khandesh | 24 |
| Marathwada | 8 |
| Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman | 3 |
MahaRERA also granted deadline extensions to 210 projects and approved corrections for 609 existing projects on the same day.
7,740 approvals so far this year
Between April and September 2026 the regulator approved 6,486 applications: 2,056 new registrations, 2,053 extensions and 2,377 corrections. With October added, the total reached 7,740 approvals, including 2,491 new project registrations.
What an extension means for buyers
A developer who cannot finish by the declared date must seek an extension. Without one, a project can be marked as lapsed, which can stall further work. Any changes to a registered project’s plan also need MahaRERA approval.
