Pune’s most celebrated classical music festival has a new date and a new home. The Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav will be held from Wednesday, 13 January to Sunday, 17 January 2027, on the Fergusson College grounds, organisers Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal announced in October.
This is the first time the festival will be held at Fergusson College. The announcement was made by Shrinivas Joshi, working president of the Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal, and son of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi.
