Pune, 1st November 2026: Searches for “PM Kisan” have jumped on Google this week as farmers wait for the next payment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. The Centre has not announced the date of the 24th instalment yet.
Under the scheme, eligible farmer families get Rs 6,000 a year in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each, paid directly into their bank accounts.
When were the last instalments paid?
The 22nd instalment was released on 13 March 2026 at Guwahati, Assam. Over Rs 18,640 crore went to about 9.32 crore farmers, according to the government’s Press Information Bureau.
The 23rd instalment was released on 20 June 2026 from Tarakeswar in West Bengal’s Hooghly district. More than Rs 18,880 crore was transferred to over 9.44 crore farmers, including over 2.18 crore women farmers. With that payment, total transfers since the scheme began on 24 February 2019 crossed Rs 4.46 lakh crore.
Is a date fixed for the 24th instalment?
No official date has been announced. Instalments usually come about four months apart, but the exact date is decided by the Centre and announced through PIB and the PM-KISAN portal. Be wary of social media posts and websites claiming a fixed date without an official announcement.

- Biometric e-KYC at a Common Service Centre (CSC)
- Face authentication through the PM-KISAN mobile app
Your bank account should be linked to Aadhaar and enabled for direct benefit transfer. Land records also need to be verified by the state.
