Pune, 6th November 2026: If you drive between Market Yard, Bibwewadi and Satara Road, expect to take a longer way round for a while. Pune Traffic Police have restricted turns at junctions near Market Yard to make room for Metro work on the Swargate-Katraj corridor. No end date has been announced for these diversions.
Turns that are now barred
- Coming from Upper Bibwewadi via Chandralok Chowk towards Pushpamangal Chowk, you cannot turn right towards Swargate, Market Yard or Utsav Hotel.
- At Pushpamangal Chowk, right turns towards Market Yard and Utsav Hotel Chowk are not allowed.
- Coming from Market Yard towards Swargate, you cannot turn right at Utsav Hotel Chowk.

Tips for the stretch
Market Yard sees heavy truck movement early in the morning, and Satara Road backs up in the evening peak. Leave 10 to 15 minutes earlier than usual, avoid stopping at the U-turn points, and give way to PMPML buses that also have to loop round.
