Pune, 2nd November 2026: “CBSE 2027 exam timetable PDF” was one of the most searched education queries in India this week. If you are a Class 10 or 12 student in Pune looking for it, here is the short answer: the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not released the 2027 date sheet yet. Any PDF circulating on WhatsApp claiming to be the final timetable should be treated with caution until it appears on cbse.gov.in.
What is happening right now is the paperwork that comes before the exams, and one deadline is this week.
LOC correction window: 2 to 4 November
Schools submit the List of Candidates (LOC) to CBSE with each student’s name, parents’ names, date of birth and subjects. According to the schedule reported for this year:
- LOC submission began on 24 September 2026
- The regular deadline was 21 October 2026
- The late-fee window, at Rs 2,000 per candidate, ran from 22 to 30 October
- The correction window for names, parents’ names and dates of birth is 2 to 4 November 2026
These details go on your admit card and, later, your marksheet and certificate. A spelling mistake in a name or a wrong date of birth is far harder to fix after the results. Parents should ask the school this week to show them the LOC entry and confirm every detail.
Two board exams for Class 10
From the 2026 exams, CBSE moved to two board examinations for Class 10. The first phase, in February, is compulsory for all students. The second phase, expected around May, is optional and allows students to improve their scores in up to three subjects. The better of the two scores counts. Plan your preparation for the first exam as the main one, and treat the second as a safety net, not a plan.
When can the date sheet be expected?
CBSE usually releases a tentative date sheet several weeks ahead of the exams, so that students get gaps between papers and can plan. Based on past years, the Class 10 first-phase exams and the Class 12 exams are expected to begin around mid-February 2027. This is an expectation, not an official date. We will update this article when CBSE announces the schedule.
Practical exams and internal assessments for Class 12 are usually held from January in schools, and schools will share their own practical schedules.
What students can do now
- Download the official 2026-27 sample papers and marking schemes from cbseacademic.nic.in and practise under timed conditions.
- Finish the syllabus by December so that January can go to revision and practicals.
- If you also plan to take entrance exams like JEE Main or NEET, keep an eye on their dates, which are announced separately.
- Avoid unofficial “leaked” or “final” timetables shared on social media.
