Pune, 30th October 2026: If your Diwali plans include a quiet hour away from the shopping crowds, Camp has something for you. Vesavar Art Gallery on East Street is hosting Between the Seen and Felt, a group exhibition of 12 artists, from Sunday, November 1 to Monday, November 30.

What the show is about

The exhibition looks at how art connects what we see with what we feel and remember. The works use line, colour, form and material to get at things that are hard to put into words, and invite viewers to look past the surface and find their own meaning. Themes of perception, memory, nature and emotion run through the show.

The artists

  • Ashok Bhowmick
  • Haren Thakur
  • Sanjay Kumar Srivastav
  • Yusuf
  • Milind Limbekar
  • Jai Krishna Agarwal
  • Mukesh Bijole
  • Rakhi Kumar
  • Pranalli Harpudeh
  • Meenakshi Jha Banerjee
  • Priyanka Sinha
  • Suman Pandey

The list mixes senior names with younger artists, which usually makes for a varied wall: expect everything from abstract work to figurative pieces.

Group shows like this are a good entry point if you rarely visit galleries. You do not need to know art history to enjoy them. Spend a minute or two in front of a work that catches your eye, read the title, and notice what it reminds you of. That personal response is exactly what this exhibition is built around.

Many of the works in such shows are also for sale. If something stays with you, ask the gallery staff about the artist and pricing; there is no obligation to buy.

Planning your visit

Gallery timings and entry details were not mentioned in the announcement. Most private galleries in Pune do not charge entry, but it is worth calling the gallery before you go, especially around Diwali when some places close for a day or two.

East Street gets busy in the evenings, particularly on weekends. Parking is limited, so take an auto or park near MG Road and walk. You can pair the visit with a snack at one of Camp’s old bakeries.
