A Farmer ID is a unique digital identity for farmers under the Centre’s AgriStack mission, linking your Aadhaar with your land records. In Maharashtra you can register free on the state’s AgriStack farmer registry portal using your Aadhaar, an Aadhaar-linked mobile number and your 7/12 details, or at a Common Service Centre (CSC). It is increasingly required for PM Kisan, crop insurance and state subsidies.

Why you need it

  • Faster benefits: schemes can verify your land and identity without fresh paperwork each time
  • PM Kisan and Namo Shetkari payments are being linked to the farmer registry
  • Crop insurance, MahaDBT subsidies and drought relief increasingly use it
  • One ID instead of repeated 7/12 and Aadhaar submissions

Documents needed

  • Aadhaar card
  • Mobile number linked to Aadhaar (for OTP)
  • 7/12 extract details (survey or gat number) for all your land
  • Tenant farmers may need a lease agreement or other proof, as per state rules

How to register online

  1. Open the Maharashtra AgriStack farmer registry portal and choose Farmer, then Create New User.
  2. Verify with your Aadhaar and the OTP on your mobile.
  3. Enter your details and add all your land parcels by district, taluka, village and survey number.
  4. Submit with e-sign and note your enrolment number.
  5. After approval by the revenue or agriculture official, your Farmer ID is generated and can be downloaded.

Registration is free. If you cannot register online, visit a CSC, the gram panchayat camp or your talathi, where staff can help.
