You can check today’s mandi (APMC) rates online on three official sources: Agmarknet (agmarknet.gov.in), the national eNAM platform (enam.gov.in) and the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB) website. Choose your commodity, state, district and market to see the minimum, maximum and modal price per quintal reported by that APMC.

Checking two or three nearby markets before loading your vehicle can make a real difference: rates for onion or soybean often vary by a few hundred rupees a quintal between neighbouring APMCs on the same day.

The three official sources

SourceBest for
Agmarknet (agmarknet.gov.in)Daily prices and arrivals from APMCs across India, with history
eNAM (enam.gov.in, app)Online trading and live prices in eNAM-linked mandis
MSAMB (msamb.com)Maharashtra APMC rates, published in Marathi and English

How to check on Agmarknet

  1. Open agmarknet.gov.in.
  2. Select the commodity, for example Onion or Soyabean.
  3. Choose state Maharashtra, then the district (such as Nashik or Pune) and market (such as Lasalgaon or Pune).
  4. Pick the date range and click Go.
  5. Read the table: Min Price, Max Price and Modal Price, all in rupees per quintal.

How to read the prices

  • Minimum price: the lowest rate paid that day, usually for poor-quality lots.
  • Maximum price: the best rate, for top-quality produce.
  • Modal price: the rate at which most of the produce sold. This is the most useful number for planning.

Divide by 100 to get the rate per kg. For example, ₹2,500 a quintal is ₹25 a kg at wholesale.

Tip: Prices update after the auction, often by the afternoon. Morning rates you see may be from the previous day, so check the date on the table.

Pune district markets

Pune’s main APMC is the Gultekdi Market Yard, with sub-markets such as Moshi, Pimpri and Manjari. For onion, most Pune farmers also track Lasalgaon, Pimpalgaon and Chakan; see our guide to onion rates at Lasalgaon. Before selling at a government centre, compare with the MSP for kharif crops.
