Pune Airport Winter Schedule: IndiGo Starts Daily Direct Flight To Bhubaneswar; 216 Of 235 Slots Taken

Pune, 29th October 2026: Getting from Pune to Bhubaneswar no longer means changing flights. IndiGo has started a daily direct flight between the two cities as part of Pune Airport’s winter schedule for 2026–27, which came into effect on Sunday, October 25.

Until now, most travellers had to connect through Mumbai, Hyderabad or Kolkata. The new route should make life easier for the students, IT professionals and families who move between Pune and Odisha regularly. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol, who is also Pune’s MP, said the service will strengthen connectivity between the two cities.

Timings and fares are on IndiGo’s website and app. Schedules do change, so check before you book.

Slots nearly full

Under the DGCA-approved winter schedule, airlines have taken 216 of the 235 daily slots available at Pune Airport. In other words, there isn’t much room left, which says a lot about demand from the city this season. Pune currently has direct flights to 35 destinations.

Winter is always busy at the airport, with Diwali travel, the wedding season and year-end holidays all stacked together.

If you’re flying this season

Give yourself extra time around Diwali and in late December, when security queues get long. DigiYatra, if your airline supports it, saves a fair bit of waiting. The roads to the airport through Nagar Road and Viman Nagar can be slow at peak hours, so plan for that too. And if you already know your dates, book early; fares tend to jump close to festivals and the holidays.

Taking the train instead? Note the platform ticket restriction at Pune station from November 1 to 15.
