What is the JEE Main 2027 application fee?

Check the 2027 information bulletin for the final fee for your category and for both papers if you are applying for B.Arch or B.Planning as well.

How to apply for JEE Main 2027, step by step

  1. Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and open the JEE Main 2027 Session 1 registration link.
  2. Register with your mobile number and email, and complete identity verification as instructed by NTA. Keep your Aadhaar details ready, since recent cycles have used Aadhaar-based and DigiLocker verification.
  3. Fill in personal details, Class 10 and Class 12 information, paper choice (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch or B.Planning) and four preferred exam cities.
  4. Upload your recent photograph and signature in the format and size specified.
  5. Pay the fee online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
  6. Download and save the confirmation page.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Using a fake or unofficial website. Apply only on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Creating more than one application. NTA has warned against multiple applications; it can lead to cancellation.
  • Mismatched names. Your name should match exactly with your Class 10 certificate and ID.
  • Leaving it to the last day. The website slows down near deadlines. Aim to finish a week early.
  • Ignoring the correction window. Check your form carefully in late November and fix errors then; some fields cannot be changed later.

Should you write both sessions?

Yes, if you can. NTA uses your best score from the two sessions for the rank list, so the January attempt is a free practice run with real stakes. A sensible plan is to treat January as your first full attempt and April as your improvement attempt.
