About tickets
For past internationals in Pune, MCA sold tickets through an official online partner and capped the number each person could buy. Expect something similar. Keep an eye on the official MCA and BCCI websites and social media handles for the announcement.
Every big match brings a wave of fake and overpriced tickets on social media and WhatsApp. Don’t buy from unofficial sellers. Keep your ID ready too, since entry may require matching details.
We’ll update this article as soon as prices and the booking date are out.
Getting there
The stadium is about 30 km from central Pune, near the Mumbai–Pune Expressway and Dehu Road. An evening match on a Sunday in the holiday week means heavy traffic, so leave early and leave room for parking and security checks. If shuttle services are announced, they’re usually the easier option; otherwise, share a cab.
Check the list of banned items, such as bags, bottles and power banks, before you leave home. And carry something warm. December evenings near the expressway can be surprisingly cold.
It’s going to be a busy December in the city, with the Pune Book Festival running mid-month and the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav coming up in January.
