Pune, 1st November 2026: Australia are into the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 final after crushing the United Arab Emirates by 53 runs in the first Cup semi-final at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok on Saturday.
Final update: Afghanistan beat Australia to win the title
Updated on 1 November 2026, evening: Australia could not finish the job. In Sunday’s final at the Mission Road Ground, Afghanistan chased down Australia’s 115 for 4 in just 5.1 overs to win the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 title. Imran Mir did most of the damage with 53 not out off 14 balls, hitting seven sixes, and Farmanullah Safi added a quick 26. Max Bryant, the hero of the semi-final, top-scored for Australia again with 44 off 14 balls. The semi-final report below is unchanged.
The UAE had been the story of the group stage, beating both India and Pakistan to top Group C. Australia ended that run in emphatic style.

India had a tough tournament. Against the UAE they slipped to 14 for 3 and made 94 for 6, with T. Natarajan unbeaten on 38 off 14 balls, before UAE captain Khalid Shah’s unbeaten 52 took his side home in 4.2 overs without losing a wicket.
