You can pay Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) property tax online at propertytax.punecorporation.org using your property number, by UPI, card, net banking or other digital modes. If you pay the full year’s tax by 31 May, PMC gives a 5 to 10% rebate on the general tax. After that, you pay the full amount, and dues left unpaid can attract penalties.

Digital payment is now the norm in Pune: in April and May 2026, about 73.5% of the 6.44 lakh owners who paid did so online, contributing ₹790 crore of the ₹1,200 crore collected, PMC data showed.

How to pay online

  1. Go to propertytax.punecorporation.org.
  2. Enter your property number (printed on your tax bill) or search by owner name and address.
  3. Check the dues for the current year and any arrears.
  4. Pay by UPI, debit or credit card, net banking, wallet or NEFT/RTGS.
  5. Download and save the receipt.

Other ways to pay

  • PMC Citizen Facilitation Centres at ward offices
  • Partner bank branches such as Bank of Maharashtra, ICICI Bank and Cosmos Bank
  • Cheque, though online payment is quicker to reflect

Rebates for paying early

PMC offers a 5 to 10% rebate on general property tax to owners who clear their entire dues for the year by 31 May. The exact rate depends on the category set by PMC that year, so check the notice on the property tax website in April. The 2026-27 rebate window closed on 31 May 2026, so payments now are at the full rate.

Lost your bill?

On the property tax website, use the “Tax Bill” option and enter your property number to view and download the bill. If you do not know your property number, check an old receipt or ask at your ward office.

Buying or renting a flat? Always check that the property tax is paid up to date before signing. Arrears stay with the property and the new owner may have to clear them.

Pimpri-Chinchwad residents

PCMC runs its own property tax system. Pay through the PCMC website or app; PCMC also offers early-payment discounts, which it announces each year.
