Is it worth it?
For a computer science, electronics, mechanical or mass media student in Pune, the work is on real defence problems, the credits count towards your degree, and the stipend is better than most private internships in the city. The internship is physical, so plan your college attendance and travel to the Southern Command area in Pune Cantonment accordingly.
Students should also think about how the internship fits their semester. A 75-day full-time programme from mid-November overlaps with end-semester exams in many SPPU-affiliated colleges, so speak to your head of department about attendance and credit transfer before you commit.
Since it is a defence programme, expect document checks and security clearances. Keep your college ID, bonafide certificate and Aadhaar ready.
