PMPML Feeder Buses for Pune Metro Line 3: 11 New Routes, 22 Stops Around Maan, Wakad, Punawale, Balewadi

Pune, 4th November 2026: PMPML has started 11 new feeder bus routes, and extended one, for Pune Metro Line 3, the Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar line that opened on Wednesday, 4 November. PMPML said the routes use 25 buses on 620 trips, with 22 new stops.

The aim is simple. Most Line 3 stations sit on the main Hinjewadi, Wakad, Balewadi and Baner roads, while many offices and housing societies are 1 to 4 km away. Without a bus, that last stretch means an auto, a cab or a long walk.

Which feeder bus routes has PMPML started?

The new services were announced by PMPML and reported by Punekar News. Route numbers have been shared only for some of them:

• Metro Shuttle 31: Pimpri Metro station to Wakad Chowk Metro station
• Metro Shuttle 41: Maan MIDC Circle Phase 2 Metro station to Nilsoft and Infosys Phase 3
• Mahalunge Gaon to TCS Maan Metro station
• TCS Maan Metro station to Podar International School, Bhoirwadi
• Indira University, Tathawade to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk Metro station
• Koyte Vasti, Punawale to Padmabhushan Chowk Metro station
• Further routes from Lavale Phata, Blue Ridge Society, Girme Park, Embassy TechZone parking and Joyvilla Society to nearby Metro stations
• Metro Shuttle 50 (extended): MITCON Metro station, Balewadi, now runs on to Chandegaon

PMPML has not yet published the exact end station for each of the Lavale Phata, Blue Ridge, Girme Park, Embassy TechZone and Joyvilla services.

Who gains the most from the new routes?

Hinjewadi Phase 3 employees are the clearest winners. Shuttle 41 links the Maan MIDC Circle Phase 2 station with the Nilsoft and Infosys Phase 3 area, so staff there no longer need an auto for the last stretch from the metro.

Shuttle 31 connects the two metro systems in the west: Line 1 at Pimpri and Line 3 at Wakad Chowk. A commuter from Pimpri or Chinchwad heading to Hinjewadi Phase 1 can now take the metro to Pimpri, the shuttle to Wakad Chowk, and Line 3 onward.

Residents of Punawale, Tathawade, Mahalunge, Bhoirwadi and Blue Ridge near Hinjewadi Phase 1 also get a direct bus to a Line 3 station.

Where are the 22 new bus stops?

PMPML said the new stops are along the Line 3 corridor. They include TCS Maan, Maan MIDC Circle Phase 2, Maan Bus Depot, Hinjewadi Phase 2 Circle, Wipro Circle, Padmabhushan Chowk, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Hinjewadi Phase 1 and Wakad Chowk.

Further east, stops have been added at Sports Complex Mahalunge, MITCON Balewadi, R K Laxman Sai Chowk, Balewadi High Street, Balewadi Phata, Baner Gaon, Mahabaleshwar Hotel, Baner Phata (Aundh), Sakalnagar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, RBI, Agriculture College and Shivajinagar Metro station.

Which Line 3 stations are open right now?

Only 17 of the line’s 23 stations opened on 4 November, according to PMRDA. Free Press Journal reported that Balewadi High Street and Balewadi Phata stations are expected by the end of November, while Baner Gaon, Baner-Pashan Link Road, Bhosale Nagar (RBI) and Shivajinagar stations will open in phases by January 2027.

So a feeder stop named after a station does not always mean the station itself is open. If your stop is Balewadi High Street, for example, the nearest working station is R K Laxman Museum for now. Our Line 3 station and fare guide lists every open and closed station.

What about parking near Line 3 stations?

Parking is still thin. PMC parking lots near Balewadi (PMR-11, at Amar Tech Park) and Baner (PMR-14) are available, as reported by Free Press Journal. Other sites are not open yet.

PMRDA Commissioner Dr Abhijit Chaudhary has said the authority plans parking lots at eight locations along the Metro network and has asked the municipal corporations for land. Work has started at two of them; the other six have no timeline yet.

What is still not clear?

PMPML has not yet shared bus frequency, first and last bus timings or fares for the new feeder routes. PMPML has also not said whether its daily and monthly passes are valid on these routes, so check with the conductor. Our PMPML pass price guide has the current rates.
