Tips for a Diwali Pahat morning
- Start early. A 6 am concert means leaving home by 5:15 to 5:30 am. Roads are empty, but parking near Tilak Smarak Mandir and Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha fills fast.
- Book ahead. The Padwa programmes and big names like Suresh Wadkar and Kaushiki Chakraborty sell out quickly.
- Dress for the cold. Pune mornings are around 15 to 17 degrees Celsius in early November. Open-air venues like Pandit Farms can feel colder.
- Plan breakfast. Half the fun is the misal, poha or upma and chaha afterwards. Many venues have stalls, and the old city’s breakfast spots open early during Diwali.
- Phones on silent. These are intimate concerts, often with soft morning ragas.
