Pune, 1st November 2026: Shah Rukh Khan turns 61 on Monday, 2 November, and for the first time in years, fans may not get the famous wave from the Mannat balcony in Bandra. Reports say the actor is not planning a public meet on his birthday this year. One report says he may be away shooting a song for his next film, King, though that has not been confirmed by his team.

Why there is no Mannat meet this year

The birthday crowd outside Mannat has grown so large in recent years that police had to manage traffic on Bandstand, and last year’s appearance was called off over crowd control. This year, reports suggest the actor is instead planning a separate meet-and-greet with fans closer to the film’s release. No date or venue has been announced, so fans travelling to Mumbai from Pune hoping to see him on 2 November should temper expectations.

The film’s team released the title glimpse on his birthday in 2025, and fans expect something similar this year, perhaps a song or a teaser.
