Pune, 29th October 2026: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the round 1 seat allotment result for NEET PG 2026 on mcc.nic.in. Reports say 28,728 candidates have been allotted MD and MS seats in the first round of All India Quota counselling.
The result came out on October 23. Candidates have until November 2 to report to their allotted colleges, and colleges will verify data on November 3.
Finding your allotment
On mcc.nic.in, go to the PG Medical counselling section and open the round 1 result PDF. Search for your roll number with Ctrl+F to see your college and course. The allotment letter can be downloaded from the candidate login.
What to carry when reporting
- NEET PG admit card and result or rank letter
- Provisional allotment letter
- MBBS or BDS mark sheets and degree certificate
- Internship completion certificate
- Permanent or provisional registration certificate from the NMC/MCI or State Medical Council
- Proof of date of birth and a valid photo ID
- Category or disability certificate, if it applies to you
Take several attested photocopies of everything. Colleges often ask for more sets than you expect.
How the counselling is split
MCC handles the 50% All India Quota seats in government colleges, plus seats in central and deemed universities. The other 50% are state quota seats, filled by state authorities; in Maharashtra, that’s the State CET Cell’s PG medical counselling. MCC usually holds several rounds, ending with a stray vacancy round for seats that are still empty.
Before you decide on round 2
Missing the reporting deadline can cost you the seat, so don’t leave it to the last day. If you’re thinking of upgrading in the next round, read the upgrade rules carefully first. Go only by MCC’s official notices for round 2 dates.
