Pune, 29th October 2026: The Maharashtra State Board, which is headquartered in Pune, has announced the probable dates for the 2027 board exams. HSC (Class 12) written papers will start on February 8, 2027, and SSC (Class 10) papers on February 15.

HSC (Class 12)

• Practicals, orals and internal assessment: January 20 to February 6, 2027
• Written exams: February 8 to March 16, 2027

SSC (Class 10)

• Practicals, orals and internal assessment: January 28 to February 13, 2027
• Written exams: February 15 to March 11, 2027

Subject-wise timetable still awaited

These are the overall windows from the board’s press note. The detailed timetable, with dates for each subject, hasn’t been released yet. Going by previous years, it should appear on mahahsscboard.in in the coming weeks, and schools usually pass it on to students as well.

Every year, fake timetables do the rounds on WhatsApp before the real one comes out. Download it only from the board’s website.

For students and parents

With about three months to go, most teachers will tell you the same thing: try to finish the syllabus by December and keep January for revision and practicals. Solving old question papers against the clock helps more than re-reading notes. Practicals and orals start before the written papers, so don’t leave them for later.

Once hall tickets are issued, check every detail with your school. And please don’t skip sleep in the last few weeks. Long hours without breaks rarely help.
