Pune, 29th October 2026: November in Pune is a good month to be out of the house. There’s Diwali Pahat music at dawn, Marathi plays almost every weekend, comedy nights and, once the weather cools, stargazing trips outside the city. Here’s what we’ve lined up from the listings so far.

Diwali Pahat, Sunday, November 8
For a lot of Pune families, Diwali isn’t complete without an early-morning Diwali Pahat programme. Two to look out for this year:
- Diwali Pahat Maifil (33rd edition) by the Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Memorial Foundation at Ram Krishna More Auditorium, from about ₹300.
- Diwali Pahat with Marathi and Hindi film songs at Tilak Smarak Mandir, from about ₹500.
These start early, so leave home with enough time to find parking.
Comedy
Gaurav Kapoor brings his Hindi stand-up show BUNTY to Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hall on November 14 and 15. It’s 18+ and tickets start at about ₹799. For something in Marathi, Gapbaazi is on at Flow Comedy Club in Aundh on Sunday, November 1, from about ₹200.

- Albattya Galbattya, the children’s favourite, on Children’s Day, Saturday, November 14, at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha, from about ₹300.

- Sukhi Maansacha Sadra, Mandar Bhide’s comedy, running from November 20 to December 20 at Backspace Pune, from about ₹399.
Food and the outdoors
Pune Food Walks is running a Camp Food Walk on Sunday, November 1, starting at Garden Vada Pav Centre. It costs about ₹250, and you pay for the food separately.
On November 14, Beyond Earth is a stargazing and camping night at Camp Hideout on the Temghar backwaters, with tent stays from about ₹1,800 per person. November skies are usually clear, so it’s a good month for it.

December gets even busier. The Pune Book Festival 2026 runs from December 12 to 20, and the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav follows from January 13 to 17, 2027 at Fergusson College.
