A tragic road accident shook the Chakan-Shikrapur stretch on Saturday night. A 41-year-old motorcyclist, Vishal Navnath Dhore, lost his life after being hit from behind by an unidentified vehicle. The driver, instead of stopping to help, sped away, leaving the victim fatally injured.

Pune Hit-and-Run Accident: What Happened on the Road
Vishal, a resident of Vadgaon Shinde, was returning home when the accident took place near a temple on the Chakan-Shikrapur road in Khed taluka. The sudden impact threw him off balance and he suffered severe head injuries. Sadly, he couldn’t survive.
Witnesses told police that the other driver didn’t even slow down after the crash. It was a classic case of hit-and-run — cruel, careless, and avoidable.
Complaint Filed After Pune Hit-and-Run Accident
The victim’s father, Navnath Dhore, filed a complaint at the Shikrapur police station. An FIR has now been registered against the unidentified driver under IPC sections related to rash driving and causing death by negligence.
Police have assured that the case is being taken up with urgency. They’re checking CCTV footage, talking to locals, and following every lead that could help identify the vehicle involved.

As of now, the driver remains untraced. The Shikrapur police have appealed for information from anyone who might have witnessed the incident or noticed the vehicle around the accident spot.
