Hey, have you guys watched Rangeen yet? I just binged Season 1 on Amazon miniTV, and I have to say, it’s one of those shows that tries to break the typical Indian web series mold. But does it really work? Here’s my honest (and a little bit personal) review of Rangeen, written just like I’d tell my friends over chai.
Table of Contents
What is Rangeen About?
So, Rangeen is a Hindi romantic drama set in an urban setup. It follows a bunch of young characters navigating love, lust, situationships, and everything that today’s generation relates to. There are 6 episodes, each diving into different aspects of relationships that aren’t usually talked about openly in Indian families.
Things I Liked:
- Bold Themes, Finally! I was actually surprised to see how openly the show discusses topics like casual dating, sexual tension, and modern-day confusion around commitment. It doesn’t feel forced either.
- Realistic Characters: You know those shows where everyone looks like they came out of a fashion show and talks like they’re in a Karan Johar film? Rangeen avoids that. The cast feels relatable. The situations might even remind you of someone you know.
- Episode Length: Each episode is crisp and doesn’t drag. Perfect for those late-night binge sessions where you don’t want to commit to a full-length series.
What Didn’t Work For Me:
- A Bit Too Woke Sometimes: Okay, I’m all for progressive stories, but at some points, the dialogues feel like they’re trying too hard to be Instagram-deep.
- Could Have Gone Deeper: Some storylines start really strong but fizzle out too quickly. I felt like a couple of characters deserved more screen time and backstory.
Should You Watch It?
If you’re into modern Indian dramas that talk about real stuff without too much drama, Rangeen is totally worth your time. It’s free on Amazon miniTV, so there’s no harm in giving it a shot. Just don’t expect a full-blown cinematic experience – it’s more like a chill, thought-provoking ride.
Final Verdict:
Rangeen isn’t perfect, but it’s refreshing. It feels like one of us finally got a chance to tell our stories onscreen – messy, emotional, unsure, but honest. I’d give it a solid 3.8 out of 5.
So yeah, go watch it and tell me what you think! And if you already have, did we feel the same or not? Let’s chat!
