PUNE: The Pune Police crime branch has arrested a known aide of gangster for allegedly shooting a 20-year-old student in the abdomen during an attempted robbery in Karvenagar on Monday night. The victim is reportedly recovering in a private hospital after being attacked for resisting the theft of his gold chain and cellphone.

According to the Pune Police crime branch, the incident occurred at a tea stall in Shahu Colony, Karvenagar. Two individuals on a scooter approached the student and attempted to snatch his valuables. When he resisted, one of them allegedly fired a shot at him, injuring him in the abdomen.
The Police Investigation and Arrest
The crime branch used a combination of technical surveillance and human intelligence to track down the main suspect. Vishal Satpute, a 25-year-old aide of gangster, was apprehended. The police reportedly recovered a firearm and a live cartridge from Satpute, which is being treated as critical evidence.
