Harit Setu isn’t just a logo—it’s the future of a greener Pimpri-Chinchwad. Let’s walk the path together. | puneripages.in

Imagine this: you’re walking through your neighborhood in Pimpri-Chinchwad, and instead of dodging traffic or stepping over puddles, you’re strolling under trees, crossing green bridges, and hearing birds instead of horns. That’s not a fantasy—it’s what the Harit Setu project is all about.
And guess what? That big green dream just got a face. A real one. Created by someone who walks the same streets as us.
Last week, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) officially announced the winners of the Harit Setu brand design competition. It’s not just a logo—it’s the first step in a bold, green vision for our city. And we think you’ll want to meet the person who brought it to life.

🌿 But First, What Exactly is Harit Setu?
In simple words: It’s the city’s plan to connect parks, riversides, gardens, and open spaces through walking and cycling paths—what they’re calling “green bridges.”
Why it matters:
- You get to breathe cleaner air.
- Kids can walk to parks safely.
- Less noise. Less smoke. More nature.
Where it’ll happen: PCMC plans to implement this across places like Nigdi, Chinchwad, Bhosari, Ravet, and more.
It’s like stitching together all the greenery we already have into one big, peaceful experience. Cool, right?
🏆 A Local Creative Gave It a Face
When PCMC announced they wanted citizens to design the official logo, over 200 entries came in. But one stood out—Yogesh Thorat, a resident of Chinchwadgaon.
“I imagined Harit Setu as a living, breathing connection between our concrete world and the nature we’re craving. That’s what I tried to put into my design,” Yogesh told us.
His logo? A graceful bridge made of leaves—symbolic, clean, and totally memorable. It’s something you’ll soon start seeing on green spaces, signboards, and promotional materials around the city.
Other amazing finalists included Manasi Chavan from Ravet and Ganesh Karande from Rahatani. Their designs also celebrated the city’s green spirit and were awarded ₹15,000 and ₹10,000 respectively. Yogesh, the winner, took home ₹25,000—and city-wide recognition.
🙌 Why This Contest Mattered More Than Just a Logo
Let’s take a moment to appreciate this: instead of hiring an agency, PCMC trusted us—residents, students, professionals—to shape the identity of a city-wide movement.
“We wanted Harit Setu to belong to the people. And that starts with the logo,” said a PCMC official during the prize ceremony.
This wasn’t just a competition. It was a call to co-create. And the response proves we’re more than ready.
🚴♀️ What’s Next for Harit Setu?
Now that the identity is locked in, PCMC will begin rolling out the Harit Setu branding across city projects starting later this year. Look out for:
- Branded signboards near parks and green paths
- Educational boards about clean transport and sustainability
- The first green corridors under construction by early 2025
🌱 Final Thought — From Me to You
This isn’t just another government announcement. This is OUR story. A green one. One where creativity, civic pride, and sustainability came together to plant the seeds of something beautiful.
And for once, we don’t just have to clap from the sidelines—we get to own it. The brand, the path, the future.
Let’s support it, talk about it, and most importantly, walk on it when it’s ready. 🚶♂️🌳
