Everyday items I use to stay healthy in August – from hydration to journaling – featured on puneripages.in

August always feels like that bridge between the relentless summer heat and the hopeful arrival of monsoon breezes. For me, it’s a month that demands extra care—physically and mentally. So instead of throwing generic advice at you, here’s what I genuinely do to stay healthy in August. These are real-life habits, tried and tested, shared with the hope that they might help you too.
Table of Contents
1. Hydration is Top Priority
No matter how busy things get, I keep a water bottle close. I even set reminders! Trust me, staying hydrated in this humid weather saves me from feeling drained and foggy.
2. Avoid Oily Foods (Even Though I Crave Them)
Bhawra, samosa, and those deep-fried street-side snacks? Tempting, but I limit them. They make me feel sluggish in this heat. Instead, I go for lighter home-cooked meals—simple dals, rice, sabzi, and fruit.
3. Seasonal Fruits Are Natural Boosters
Every morning, I chop up watermelon, muskmelon, or papaya. They’re refreshing, packed with water, and help my skin stay clear (a big deal for me!).
4. Never Skip My Evening Walks
When the sun softens around 6:30 PM, I go out for a walk. It clears my mind, helps digestion, and honestly, it’s my little daily reset button.
5. Sleep Routine is Sacred
I used to scroll endlessly before bed. Now I’ve cut it down and try to sleep by 11 PM. Waking up early with natural light changes everything—mood, energy, productivity.
6. Aloe Vera Juice? Yes Please
A friend once suggested it and I gave it a shot. Just 10 ml with water every morning helps my digestion and gives me that inner cleanse feeling.
7. I Carry an Umbrella (Always)
Whether it’s unexpected rain or scorching sun, my umbrella is my companion. It keeps me protected and prevents surprise headaches from sun exposure.
8. Add Turmeric to Almost Everything
From dals to milk, turmeric is my monsoon immune booster. It’s old-school, but I’ve seen how it reduces those random sore throats and sniffles.
9. I Journal My Stress Away
Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I write things down—no filters. It gives me clarity and helps me process emotions. Mental health is as important as physical health.
10. Listen to your Body
Above all, I don’t push myself too hard. If I’m tired, I rest. If I feel off, I slow down. Our body gives signals—we just need to hear them.
Final Thoughts:
These aren’t miracle tips; they’re just what works for me. Maybe some of them will work for you too. August can be draining, but with small conscious habits, we can feel our best. If you have tips of your own, message me—I’d love to try them out!
Stay hydrated, stay sane, and don’t forget to laugh (that’s my bonus tip!).
